Mykonos Theoxenia

Aris Konstantinidi’s design was based on a pop aesthetic but with a modern orientation, thus the décor is still striking despite its 50 years. How? Through the updating of certain features while still retaining a sense of the glamour of the 60s, and from its high end services. Built from stone with retro details and filled with color, for example in the restaurant The Plate with its turquoise tones, the hotel enjoys an incredible location next to the windmills, while privacy is ensured by its big gardens.

Apanema

In an era of extra-large and crowded spaces, the hotel denies all mainstream influences and holds onto its small and cozy status, with highly romantic elements focusing mainly on wood and stone. With a focus on family service well into the night, the owners maintain a sense of authenticity in the 17 rooms with their modern furniture, king sized beds that they designed themselves and tiled bathrooms with hidden lighting.

As the real host is the location itself, you soon realize that the view in Kalafatis is the main player. Recently refurbished, it highlights the influence of the sea by means of its blue and white tones and soft touches of yellow. With a focus on its natural setting, the furnishings in the 26 rooms remain functional and uncluttered against the background of the well tended garden. Τhe environment itself makes sports such as surfing and diving, as well as riding with specialized instructors, an absolute must.

Leto

At the end of the pedestrian street, this is one of the more peaceful parts of Chora without the hotel losing any view of the Central Square. Far enough from the cosmopolitan bustle and yet so near that one can enjoy panoramic views of the sea, this historical hotel knows how to keep its distance and yet hold a good cocktail party. The rooms are homely in feel with their intimate décor and excellent service which can provide anything you want.

What’s new: The gazebo where you can enjoy a Deep Tissue Sport Μassage.

Cavo Tagoo

Built on the bare rock with an aesthetic that inspires a sense of naturalness and barefoot elegance, the complex takes on the island vibe and transforms it into the overwhelming sense of luxury that epitomizes the hotel. It features private pools in its suites and villas, a SPA, a fitness centre and the Aquarium Bar with its famous 40 metre fish tank. Meanwhile, the restaurant with its updated wine list and, for the third year running, collaboration with Spondi, fuses Mediterranean with Asian influences.

What’s new: The privacy at the pools of the Classic Deluxe Suites.

Mykonos Ammos

Above Ornos beach, the property’s verandas almost seem like elegant little boats in the ocean as one gazes from the discretely luxurious bedrooms. The layout in each of the 41 rooms provides for comfort and freedom of movement especially in the six Classic Suites with their double sofa-beds, which accommodate up to four guests. Note that on the beach, two sun loungers cost €12.

What’s new: The renovated Kuzina restaurant (see Thissio) with its expansive lounge area in front and creative Mediterranean cuisine.

Bill & Coo

Τhe most recognized boutique hotel on Megali Ammos does not rest on the laurels that adorn its 26 rooms, or even on its faithful clientele. The winner of this year’s ‘Top Chef’ Αthenogoras Kostakos has revamped the menu with creative Greek cuisine and organized events with famous chefs this summer. Along with the relaxed decor, ‘wallpaper’ furniture, original lighting scheme and free-style island vibe, consider also the sea views and personal service where guests can call staff on the “immediate service” mobile.
