Alemagou

The mysterious surfers’ beach inspired the people at Alemagou to create a restaurant near the Akri taverna, in Ftelia, with modern Greek recipes based on seafood. For the design, they chose K studio architects were justified by the custom-made result. Traditional local materials make their appearance on the dry stone walls; the ceiling is strewn with a decorative ear of corn; light fittings made of old flasks offer the necessary radiance. At the bar, special cocktails with secret recipes create an experience that is, literally, alternative and interesting.

Avli tou Thodori

Tables under the shady pergola and, indoors, white dominates almost everywhere! The menu now has different themes. On the one hand, classic Greek flavours such as village striftaria with pork tenderloin and Mykonian xynotiro, lamb shank with rosemary and barbequed fresh fish. On the other, inspired dishes such as feta in filo with honey raki and sesame, and pork fillets with thyme, honey and mustard. There is also a beach menu with seafood for the sunbeds on the beach and, finally, chilled chocolate cream with prunes and hazelnuts for everyone.

Bakalo

This year Nikos Nanou from Gola and Vicky Hatzidaki from Mykonos recommend a return to good traditional cuisine in a space that draws its allure from memories of old grocery stores and childhood neighbourhoods. Nothing fancy disturbs the sociable atmosphere of the courtyard with its 18th century well, inviting you into its open kitchen to share meze such as meatballs, octopus in vinegar, and meat and cheese platters on a monastic table.
